Beginning as just a mobile spay/neuter shuttle in 2001, Angels of Assisi is now the largest private animal welfare organization in the Roanoke Valley. Our mission is twofold:
Helping Pets:
- Rescuing and rehabilitating animals out of difficult situations as well
- Animal law advocacy on state and national levels.
Helping People:
- Providing quality, affordable veterinary care for pets in our community.
- Outreach to rural areas throughout Southwest Virginia and West Virginia to provide veterinary care to the community and mentorship to local shelters.
- Offering community programs to provide care for animals of domestic violence.
All done to support our motto, “Help is Here”.
